Abstract

As a Data Scientist, we face the challenge of constantly needing to catch up with the latest research and technology. However, this essential practice may cause an immense conflict – on one hand, we would want to implement the most inspiring and sophisticated ideas using the most cutting edge technology. On the other hand, the most innovative idea isn’t necessarily the best one for our project, product, or business.

In this talk, I will share examples of what I’ve encountered throughout my career, and together we will investigate what might have been possible solutions. Finally, we will explore and analyze scenarios shared by you, and discuss the decisions made.
